  • Develop instrument index.
  • Prepare I/O lists.
  • Develop control system architecture.
  • Review cause-and-effect diagrams.
  • Coordinate shutdown and emergency systems.
  • Support SIL assessments.
  • Review vendor instrumentation packages.
