Lead Pipeline Engineer

Purpose of the role

To lead the engineering design of subsea and offshore pipelines from detailed design through construction and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop pipeline design basis and engineering calculations.
• Prepare pipeline specifications and material requirements.
• Perform wall thickness and stability calculations.
• Coordinate pipeline route engineering.
• Perform pipeline span assessment.
• Coordinate pipeline crossing and protection design.
• Review pipeline installation methodology.
• Coordinate pipeline material selection and corrosion protection.
• Support pipeline integrity assessments.
• Review contractor and vendor documentation.
• Provide technical support during fabrication and installation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable pipeline regulations, project specifications and recognised codes, including NUPRC HSEC and Development & Production guidance.
